Boobs and Bikes - 1st women's ONLY ride

I was invited to join a group of female riders on a day trip to Cascade, ID. Mind you, these women have all been riding MUCH longer than me. So, although I found myself hesitating on the invitation for fear I would be the slowest in the pack, for fear that I would seem like too much of a rookie, for fear of.... well, I guess of myself. I was letting myself feel embarrassed about my own riding skills. I was letting their knowledge and skill level be an intimidation factor, when really those…See More

Looking for the perfect name for 'my baby'

I think finding the perfect name for my motorcycle is more challenging than choosing names for my children.Picking out the perfect name for my children was easy. Because, when I looked at them... I saw perfection. I had created these 2 precious babies. I had spent 9 months and several hours of labor creating them. They were everything I had ever hoped for. They had the perfect mix of my eye color and my husband's eye color. My daughter looked exactly like me and my son looked exactly like my…See More

Lean to the left... Lean to the right: Mastering twisty-curvys

Hubby and I were able to get our (and our kids) favorite sitter to come over Saturday afternoon. She is one of those great High School kids that every parent dreams of finding as their date-night sitter. She plays games with them, reads, paints, does science experiments, etc. AND, she only charges us $5/hour. WooHoo!!!!We took off on our bikes to do a local run that a lot of riders enjoy... and master their cornering on. From Boise up to Idaho City is a beautiful twisty Highway, that runs right…See More

Do Harley owners wave at owners of 'metrics'

After another Sunday afternoon ride with my hubby on our Kawisaki's... I'm wondering if I've missed the unspoken rule of the biker wave. As the owner of a sport bike, am I automatically shunned by Harley owners? If you ride, do you remember how excited you felt to have someone do the biker wave to you the 1st time? I pulled over at the next parking lot to dig my cell phone out and send my hubby a text with the exciting news. (At least I thought it was exciting. He just chuckled and said, "Be…See More

What's with guys on sport bikes?

Yes. I have a sport bike. But that doesn't mean I'm going to drive it like I stole the effing thing!I took my Ninja out for a couple hours by myself on Memorial Day. Being a rider with less than a year of experience, I definitely don't speed 80 mph down the city streets of Boise. And it annoys the crap out of me when some punk on his sport bike goes flying around me like I'm standing still, while on a 2 lane street! It was a 45ph zone, and with the rough pavement, I wasn't doing over 50. I could…See More

I'm a Mom of 2 young kids. Learning to ride has been the best thing I've done for myself! Confidence is key.

New Biker!

I am new to biking. I picked up a Sportster late last fall and now that the weather is warming up I am ready to start learning the ropes. One thing I NEED to do before I do anything though is install a Motorcycle Mount for my GPS. If I don't, I'll be one lost motorcycle momma in a hurry. I think this is something I can do myself, but if any of you have run into issues with this, please let me know. I am ready to… Continue
